Bangkok Bitches!

We arrived in Bangkok on Tuesday night after an 11 hour flight from London, which I mostly slept for - YES sleeping pill, thanks Triona! The six of us squashed into a Jeep taxi and he dropped us off on Khosan Road where we spent the night at D&D Hotel, basic and central, perfect!

Khosan Road is mental, lots of market stalls, lots of bars, lots of restaurants and lots of Thai men smacking their lips at you and saying "PING PONG"... trying to sell you the Thai Ping Pong show. No thank you... well at least until I've had enough to drink where my vision was blurred. ha! We went for a few drinks, had a Chang Beer - 50 Thai Baht/approx. €1! Boom! We then abused the street people a bit, bartered on a few markets, Eimear ate a cricket (and enjoyed it) we drank some Vodka Buckets, ate some spring rolls and McDonalds, you know, when in Rome... not.

We then enjoyed foot massages for 45 minutes, which were hilarious, they cracked our toes and pummelled us to death, and then threw in a quick shoulder and neck massage too - 150 Baht/approx.€3!!!

Bangkok was great to experience, but as most backpackers have said so far, and I agree, it's a stop-over City, you fly to Thailand and get to the Islands asap, which was our plan :)

Bangkok also reminds me a lot of Korea. Busy streets, same crazy taxi men, crazy people trying to sell you things, and that same sewerage smell that stings your nostrils! I'm back in Asia!

Get us to the Islands! First stop.... Koh Samui!!!
